Because cold sores - fever blisters - herpes outbreaks are not life-threatening, this has been a neglected area, with no significant new products in over 20 years. No, NextLeap works well by itself. But for melasma or dark spots, you may get faster results by using it underneath another dark spot corrector or exfoliator, because they work in different ways. Similarly for cold sores, using NextLeap underneath Abreva or other topical cold sore products may give you even better results, again because they work in different ways.

There are many cold sore products easily available. The most commonly used is Abreva®, or its generic equivalent Docosanol 10%, which do not require a prescription. Zovirax® cream, or generic acyclovir cream, is the most common topical antiviral product used against cold sores, but it requires a prescription. There are a number of other good products available online or at the drugstore that will also work well with NextLeap.

Wow, what a surprise! I have suffered with cold sores most of my life, but I recently had a completely different experience with my last outbreak using NextLeap Cosmetic for Cold Sores. As usual, I felt that tingle with a small visible spot on my lip and immediately applied NextLeap followed by my usual cold sore treatment Abreva (docosanol). This product is a game changer! Having suffered from cold sores most of my life and not getting much relief from OTC treatments, I was willing to try anything. With NextLeap when I feel an outbreak coming on, I use the product underneath an OTC cold sore treatment (usually docosanol) and the outbreak rarely develops into an unsightly bump and is completely gone in a couple of days.
